Character Animator

At UneeQ, we are on a mission to introduce digital humans to the world. We are developing a platform that enables customers to create digital characters and personalities which have a positive impact on the lives of people, everyday.

We are continuously striving to be the best digital human platform - offering characters that behave and perform in a believable manner that allow them to connect with audiences. This role involves character animation work - a fundamental part of what makes our digital humans effective. You’ll bring ideas and enhancements that will enable the team to create market leading digital humans with respect to realism and authenticity.

What you’ll be involved with

  • Enhancing our digital human animation systems to improve quality and performance
  • Delivering animation outputs for our digital humans, with a view towards improving their expressions and emotions
  • Exploring and prototyping potential investment opportunities in digital human technology and production processes
  • Working closely with other animators, producers and artists to review and iterate on animation outputs
  • Collaborating with others to evaluate third party solutions to specific digital human behaviour problems

Full-stack Software Developer

At Uneeq, we are on a mission to introduce digital humans to the world. We are developing a platform that enables creators to design digital human experiences which have a positive impact on the lives of people, everyday.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Developer to join the team who build the developer experience of our digital human conversation platform. This includes the web SDK, iOS SDK and API.

The full-stack software developer role is a key contributor to one of UneeQ’s core product teams and plays an important role in helping to develop UneeQ’s platform and take it to market. In particular the role:

  • Is involved in developing and operating software as a member of the product team.
  • Collaborates with other engineering staff on architectural and technical design decisions.
  • Is an active participant in the team’s delivery processes (e.g. leading planning/grooming sessions, suggesting improvements at retrospectives, demoing at reviews etc.).

What you're trying to achieve

  1. Deliver a high quality of development output via code that is well-crafted, comprehensively unit-tested and appropriately documented.
  2. Maximise system quality by quantifying, testing and understanding changes in the context of the end to end system.
  3. Help de-risk complex development efforts participating in product discovery activities, experiments and proof-of-concept development.
  4. Encourage the adoption of continuous integration, and always be looking for opportunities to level up the team’s deployment practices and overall productivity.
  5. Help ensure that reasonable expectations around delivery are set with stakeholders
  6. Work closely with QAs to both triage product defects, and collaborate on strategies for defect prevention.
  7. Help ensure that UneeQ’s platform operates within the SLAs agreed with customers, and meets internal non-functional requirements.

  • This role is expected to maintain a good working relationship with other engineering staff across the product team.

Specific capabilities that will be necessary

  • Experience with back-end engineering ideally in golang or java/kotlin but other languages are OK.
  • Experience with Typescript and modern front end web technologies would be valuable.
  • Ability to suggest improvements to technologies, tools and processes, including the ability to evaluate alternative options.
  • Ability to break down large, complex pieces of work into small executable chunks.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer

At Uneeq, we are on a mission to introduce digital humans to the world. We are developing a platform that enables creators to design digital human experiences which have a positive impact on the lives of people, everyday.

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team. The SRE is responsible for ensuring our platform is scalable, resilient and reliable. In particular the role:

  • Provides an infrastructure platform to the development team that handles scaling, failing and monitoring
  • Manages the security and availability of that infrastructure platform as well as change management relating to it
  • Provides tooling to the development team so they can create a build and release pipeline that adheres to change management best practice
  • Creates and maintains our incident management processes, including on-call rosters and post-mortem processes
  • Ensure that all of our applications and services set SLOs including availability, response times, error rates and measure their achievement against those
  • Utilises practices such as chaos engineering which identify failure scenarios before they occur in production and affect SLOs
  • Manages within budget constraints
  • Works with the development team to expose metrics and open up monitoring opportunities
  • Actively seeks out and implements optimisations to our platform such as increasing session concurrency

Professional Services Programme Lead

UneeQ is the global standard for digital humans, enabling creators and brands to bring impactful interaction into our digital world. Our professional services (PS) practice is new and we are in need of a top performing leader to help establish and grow it.

A PS implementation project is the first step our enterprise customers take on their digital human journey and therefore a critical moment of truth. The Programme Lead role exists to help customers achieve outcomes whilst delivering stunning customer experiences.

This role reports into the COO.

Responsibilities

Build the Professional Services (PS) practice at UneeQ:

  • Develop, communicate and support the adoption of PS processes across all teams within UneeQ - Marketing, Sales, CS, Product & Finance.
  • Recruit & manage implementation partners to ensure it is a win:win relationship for all parties. This includes scoping, contracting, quality management and providing partners with actionable feedback.
  • Collaborate internally with Sales, Product & Customer Success on projects, service offerings and product features that improve and scale our implementation processes
  • Identify opportunities to create packaged services and reusable assets to enhance customer time to value and increase PS efficiency and margins.
  • Create visibility across UneeQ of PS projects throughout the pipeline, with a particular focus on sharing outcomes.
  • Manage the PS pipeline for both supply and demand - collaborating with Sales on upcoming projects and creating a scalable global partner eco-system that can accommodate the demand to deliver unforgettable customer experiences.

Lead customer projects:

  • Lead the professional service scope definition and quote during pre-sales
  • Liaise with the UneeQ technical lead to design the technical architecture of the solution.
  • Break down this solution into executable components, outsource to partners (or secure internal resources), oversee execution and be the central point of coordination for all.
  • Manage the project execution through to successful completion (time, quality, scope and cost).
  • Be the primary customer contact and build the customer relationship throughout their implementation journey. Ensure a smooth internal handover at the end of the implementation project.
  • Keep everyone outcomes focused and ensure a cohesive, ‘wow’ and value adding experience is created. Champion quality at every stage.

Note: As the PS practice grows, there may be opportunities for People Leadership.


Measures of success

  • Churn rate within 12 months of a PS implementation project
  • Evidenced customer value post implementation (i.e. case study, referenceability)
