The Matchstiq Top 100

Matchstiq's take on Fuel50

Fuel50's mission is to unlock talent and potential in people.

The market opportunity ahead for Fuel50

Fuel50 already has a reputation for revolutionising career experiences across the globe and working with major brands all over the world. But our solution has long been targeted at enterprise organizations with FTE of 10,000+.

Last year, 2021, saw Fuel50 introduce two additional marketplaces designed to support growth (250+ FTE) and mid-market organizations (<10,000FTE). We already have a strong position in the US, UK and European markets, and are expanding to include the APAC region with an initial focus on Australia.

Why Fuel50 is a great place to work

Fuel50 is immensely proud of our strong team culture, where our “Fuellies” (people) come first. Our vision and values are inclusive and transparent and built upon quarterly business objectives that drive our growth, encourage goal setting, and celebrate milestones every step of the way.

Our business values are an important foundation for everything we do and are lived by all our people every day. We pride ourselves in creating a Fun, Fantastic, Fair culture for our Fuellies that enables them to be the best they can be.

84% of our People say - At Fuel50 our values are important.

We place a big focus on personal values, strengths, talents and what employees ENJOY doing, helping Fuellies find greater fulfilment in their work and increasing career satisfaction.

We conducted an Experience Survey to help shape our People Strategy and initiatives for 2021 through to 2023, which resulted in the establishment of the Fuellie University online a learning platform with access to over 10,000+ learning resources; an 8-month global leadership development program; and our own opportunity marketplace enabling our people to be the best they can be.

Our female co-Founders are role models for our people and those externally as examples of female entrepreneurs, technology innovators and executive leaders, showing that anything is possible.

We introduced a generous Parental Leave policy on top of the government statutory requirements that can be accessed by primary or secondary caregivers, as well as additional leave and additional sick leave to ensure our parents can continue to contribute while balancing the commitments to their families.

All of this has contributed to 80% of our people agreeing that Fuel50 is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.

Senior Front End Engineer (hybrid or remote working opportunity)

We're looking for a super-smart, super-passionate and super-on-to-it Front End Developer to take the reigns of the front-face of our multi-award-winning SaaS apps. We're known in our industry for our distinctive and playful design aesthetic, and want you to inject your own passion, flair and fun. If you get bored working on the same old UI's, then here's your chance to add in that extra dimension, sprinkle in a little animated magic, and ensure our robust user experience is peppered with small moments of webappy delight!

You'll have a strong foundation of Front-end dev skills, having worked on numerous web-app projects and UI's. You'll have an interest (if not experience) in component- based design/development and will be itching to develop and steward an in-house component library/style-guide, in co-ordination with our UX/UI Lead, for ongoing use by yourself and the rest of the team. You'll be keen to run a tight front-end ship, harp on about best-practice, and have an eagle eye for consistency throughout our products.

Meanwhile, you'll be extending yourself up the design pipeline, working together with our UX/UI team and Product team to help produce the designs which you will then turn into functioning, magical code. In a typical day, you might do some of the following:

  • Get into the zone with some Angular/HTML/SASS development for a new feature we are launching
  • Drop a touch of animated magic into a new component, bringing a little joy into the day of our users (and product team!)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Front end software development.
  • worked in Agile software development environments.
  • worked with product design teams before, in particular for SaaS products.
  • great understanding and appreciation of the concepts of graphic/interaction design, and user interfaces.
  • excellent understanding of HTML & SASS, responsive and mobile app development.
  • experience working with (and ideally working on) component libraries.
  • experience working in Angular (or similar frameworks).
  • Understand the constraints of data driven websites and are used to working with the various states of the same page according to data.
  • Can work with user flow diagrams.
  • Are focused on the quality of the user interface as much as the aesthetics.
