Snapshot of Brighte
Powering the Shift to Clean Energy
Making sustainable home upgrades affordable.
Brighte was founded in 2015 by Katherine McConnell, who left her role at Macquarie Bank to solve a simple but pressing challenge: how can everyday Australians afford to electrify their homes?
Her vision became Brighte, a platform that finances solar panels, batteries, and energy-efficient home improvements. Today, Brighte is accelerating Australia’s shift to net zero by helping households cut emissions and take control of their energy bills.
Why Work at Brighte
Mission with impact Brighte has financed over $2 billion in solar and energy upgrades, enabling more than 180,000 installations and preventing 1.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
Strong backing With over $100 million raised in equity from investors like Grok and Airtree, and more than $575 million in green bonds, Brighte is well-capitalised for growth.
A new way to energy Brighte’s “gen-tailer” model lets customers own their energy assets and pay over time, helping households become self-sufficient and smarter with energy use.
Partner-powered growth Working with 2,600+ accredited vendors and multiple government energy schemes, Brighte is scaling with impact in mind.
