After six years of bootstrapping and helping over 70,000 travelers book flights without going into credit card debt, Slice just raised $7.5M in Seed funding from Peak XV Partners and a $10M debt facility from Roadnight Capital to expand its impact across the U.S. and beyond.
Born from firsthand experience working in CBA’s hardship department, co-founders Farouk Ismail and Yannick Darmalingam saw the emotional and financial toll of credit card travel debt. They created PayLater Travel, a smart alternative to BNPL that lets customers lay-by their flights, paying in full before flying, with no credit or interest involved.
