Administrative Assistant

awn Aerospace is looking for a highly motivated and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our Christchurch team part-time (about 15 hours per week). This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting, rapidly-growing space company. The successful candidate will provide professional administrative support to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to the Executive Assistant and broader team
  • Agenda management and scheduling
  • Assist in coordinating internal events
  • Manage vehicle administration/maintenance
  • Management of logistics, including incoming and outgoing mail/courier collections and deliveries
  • Regular management and maintenance of office equipment
  • Purchasing of general office supplies and equipment
  • Scanning and filing as required
  • Generally assisting with any administrative work

Requirements

  • Previous executive support/administration experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient capability with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of discretion
  • Problem-solving skills (but know when to escalate)
  • An eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Flexible

 

Desired Skills and experience

  • General interest in the aerospace sector
  • Familiarity with HR, finance, health and safety
  • Familiarity with general operation and administration
