Senior Content Lead - Auckland

Auror is on a mission to empower retailers around the world to stop crime, for good. Every day we make it our duty to protect retail organisations and the communities they serve from the impacts of crime.

Our offices in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand support the world’s largest retailers and law enforcement agencies to disrupt the $1 Billion-a-day problem of retail crime.

In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world’s largest crime problems. If you're looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then join us today.

THE ROLE:

We place a tremendous amount of importance on high quality content. At Auror, it is a skill we try to develop across the whole team, whether it be business, technical, or creative content. And that’s where this role has become increasingly important. We’re looking to grow our capability in this highly specialised area, someone who can deliver exceptional content across multiple formats, and help us scale our output to become the authority on crime intelligence.

This role will be highly collaborative, partnering with global contributors across the whole company to deliver various types of content. This role is responsible for:

  • Leading and executing our creative voice that results in increased conversion rates for pay-per-click ad campaigns and email click rates.
  • Own and execute our content marketing strategy to establish Auror as the authority on retail crime
  • Raise our copy standards and ensure our tone and voice is correctly and consistently applied across all touch points
  • Develop and maintain a high output and high quality publishing cadence.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team by providing strong mentorship, coaching and guidance.

Examples of work:

  • Creating and editing all posts before publishing, including editing for voice and tone, optimizing for SEO and shareability, creating a compelling headline, and curating photos and illustrations
  • Developing creative and brand content for email, website copy, video, blog posts, and digital campaigns that compels action
  • Partner with internal and external Global contributors to publish a broad range of projects from state of the industry surveys to our unique perspectives on retail crime.
  • Supporting revenue activities through email outreach programs, sales presentations, technical documentation and press releases
  • Managing a content calendar, focusing on crafting a lot of original content, plus working with our global contributors to tell their stories (including ghostwriting or heavy editing when necessary).

The role reports to Marcus Hoefliger, our Director of Marketing.

Born to a Swiss father, and a Maori mother of Te Arawa descent, I’m a little different, and I love it. At the time of writing this, I split my time between being a Dad, sport and mountain bike addict, wannabe chef, and helping Auror empower more retailers around the world to stop crime, for good. I’m excited (like really excited) to work with talented, caring, and ambitious people who want to elevate themselves, their peers, and Auror to new heights.
