Junior Full Stack Engineer

So, what's the mission?

First and foremost, learn and grow while you code! We're looking for budding Junior Full Stack Engineers to increase our capacity to scale at pace. You'll work closely with our experienced engineers to learn our stack, best practice and objectives to scale. Over time you will contribute to shipping features, collaborate with the wider engineering teams on cool projects and help advance both ezyVet and Vet Radar platforms. This is an exciting time to contribute to the continued success of ezyVet. There’s ample opportunity to cut your teeth on a range of projects and maybe develop a certain subject matter expertise if that's your jam. We have a collaborative team, utilizing best practices and delivering quality code to add value to our customers.

We've got a bunch of epic projects kicking off and we want more pedigree cats like you to join the litter. Spots or stripes, fur or feathers we've got you covered!

ezyVet.com, our main application is a single page webapp built and maintained on PHP. React, TypeScript and Redux Front-end and PHP with Laravel 7.x for our APIs. Going onto the platform, we use MySQL 8 for our databases and our servers are all managed through AWS. Utilizing docker, terraform and GitLab to rollout and manage our cloud application and its many services. For example, using Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda and Step Functions to provide unique solutions for our applications and internal systems.

Auckland HQ is where the bulk of the engineering horsepower is based but our London operation is the turbo charger, and both continue to grow. We run a squad structure (currently 5 across London & Auckland), follow an agile methodology, and collaborate on all aspects of the development stack to produce elegant code.
