ABOUT COGO: 

The Cogo API enables banks and other corporations to integrate carbon and other sustainability data into their customer experiences - for example providing a bank customer a monthly carbon footprint statement or showing an online supermarket shopper the percentage of their products that are made by locally-owned businesses.

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

This role works closely with our Platform and Security team supporting multiple products across the world. There's plenty of opportunity to learn, build new things and grow. As part of a small team you’ll have a large impact on the technical direction of the platform, and play a big part in supporting the future growth of Cogo globally.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Working collaboratively with the platform and development teams to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and deployment tooling to meet our requirements
  • Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
  • Working with the Lead DevOps engineer to ensure Site Reliability
  • Troubleshooting problems across a wide array of services and functional areas

 

 

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Solid technical abilities, problem-solving, design, coding and debugging skills
  • Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure using code like Cloudformation or Terraform
  • Understanding of CICD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of cloud security
  • Ability to learn and use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools

 

NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE:

  • On call experience
  • Experience in, or an interest in Site Reliability Engineering

Carbon Impact Manager - APAC

Cogo is looking for a New Zealand or Australia-based, passionate carbon expert to join our growing Impact team as our newest Carbon Impact Manager for the APAC region. 

 

We are looking for an experienced professional with a deep understanding of carbon footprinting and the ability to channel that knowledge into engagements with businesses and the public to generate quantifiable positive impact. Our ideal candidate is proactive in seeking and engaging with businesses, industry organisations, non-governmental organisations, and academics to build a network and body of credible and reputable knowledge. 

 

Role Requirements

  • Develop, contribute to, and improve Cogo’s Carbon Models, including Climate Actions, for Personal and ‘Small Medium Enterprises’ SME users, with a primary focus on the the Asia Pacific region
  • Supply clients with the application of GIF tools to meet their requirements; primarily our carbon footprinting models, climate action libraries, and carbon offsetting integrations 
  • Seek, develop and maintain strong relationships with key sustainability affiliates (particularly in the carbon area) and other external stakeholders in the Asia Pacific Region
  • Contribute and generate thought leadership content i.e. white papers, podcasts, articles, that will build Cogo’s reputation in the Asia Pacific as a credible and purpose-led organisation 
  • Representing Cogo perspective and solutions-based approach at external events
  • Collaborate with the Market Team to disseminate thought leadership content and engage wider audiences into climate-solution conversations, including via social media channels
  • Contribute to maintaining Cogo’s 3rd-party sustainability certifications and commitments, with particular focus on those that are Asia-Pacific-specific or global

 

The salary for this role is $80-105k NZD | $85-110k AUD.

We are looking for a NZ or UK based Head of People Experience to join our growing People Team. We're looking for a candidate who can effectively lead Cogo’s People Experience function. This role will help embed great people processes, and cultivate and nurture a global culture aligned with Cogo’s values. The Head of People Experience will ensure Cogo is meeting its employer responsibilities, and remains compliant with employment legislation regionally. The ideal candidate is passionate about people and culture, as well as having a good amount of experience in the HR field.

We are looking for a NZ-based Senior Product Manager to join our growing Product Team. We're looking for a candidate with a few years of experience in Product who is able to create and lead successful Product strategies in the team, as well as make the right decisions for Cogo's internal data systems. Our ideal candidate should be able to design and prioritise the products that will drive us towards our impact goals.

 

 

Role Requirements

  • You’re responsible for crafting a workplace where we can deliver the following outcomes:
    • Cogo staff who work with emissions factors, categorisation, and climate actions excel at their roles in part because their internal data products operate efficiently and effectively to meet their needs. We are looking for a New Zealand-based entry-level Software Engineer, who is talented and eager to learn, to join our growing Tech team. 

 

This role works closely with our Platform and Security team supporting multiple products across the world. There's plenty of opportunity to learn, build new things and grow. As part of a small team you’ll have a large impact on the technical direction of the platform, and play a big part in supporting the future growth of Cogo globally.

 

 

Role Requirements

  • Helping our platform and development teams to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and deployment tooling to meet our requirements
  • Helping provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
  • Working with the Lead DevOps engineer to contribute to Site Reliability 
  • Helping troubleshoot problems across an array of services and functional areas

 

Critical competencies: 

  • Growing technical abilities, problem-solving skills
  • Experience with (or interest in) the following: 
  • Building and maintaining AWS infrastructure using code like Cloudformation or Terraform

Role Requirements

  • Working collaboratively with your peers to design, build, and maintain medium to large size features while reducing the system’s tech debt

  • Teaching your skills to your team, mentoring team members to accelerate their career-growth
  • Questioning and adjusting our delivery processes, proactively looking for ways that we can improve
  • Troubleshooting problems across a wide array of services and functional areas

 

Critical competencies: 

  • Several years of experience building and maintaining web facing systems using high level languages
  • Experience with (or a willingness to learn) Elixir and functional programming. It’s a straightforward transition from Ruby on Rails, Python, Node, etc. so we encourage those with experience with other frameworks to enquire
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to learn and use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Strong bias toward team building and continuous improvement
